One Point Grand Slam Challenge
Official Rules & Prize Disclosure
The Wichita Tennis Open One Point Grand Slam Challenge (“Contest”) is a skill-based tennis competition conducted in connection with the Wichita Tennis Open.
Eligibility
Contest is open to participants age 18 or older.
Participants under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the waiver and consent form.
Employees, officials, and organizers of the Wichita Tennis Open may be excluded at organizer discretion.
Contest Format
Each participant will have one opportunity to play a single tennis point against the designated player/opponent.
The participant must win the point to advance to the next round according to standard tennis rules to claim the prize.
The tournament reserves the right to modify the format, opponent, or rules if necessary for safety, scheduling, or operational reasons.
Prize
Prize amount: $1,000 USD
Prize will be paid by check within a reasonable period following verification of eligibility and completion of required tax documentation.
Odds of winning depend entirely on participant skill.
Taxes
Prize winnings may be considered taxable income under federal and/or state law.
Winner is solely responsible for any taxes associated with the prize.
Winner may be required to complete a W-9 form or other tax documentation before prize payment is issued.
Conduct & Safety
Participants agree to follow all instructions from tournament staff and officials.
Any unsafe, unsportsmanlike, disruptive, or abusive conduct may result in immediate disqualification without refund.
Release of Liability
By participating, each participant voluntarily assumes all risks associated with the Contest and releases the Wichita Tennis Open, its sponsors, staff, volunteers, venue operators, and affiliated parties from any claims, injuries, damages, or liabilities arising from participation.
Media Release
Participants grant permission for the Wichita Tennis Open to use photographs or video of the Contest for promotional and marketing purposes without additional compensation.
Final Authority
All decisions made by tournament officials regarding eligibility, rules, scoring, and winner determination are final.
